16/7/12 - Update
Welcome to term 3, I hope you all had a great holiday.
It was great to meet many of you at the DE Symposium and speak to others on the phone. For those of you that were not able to make the Symposium I will go over the main points discussed at our first network meeting.

Following the network aims we discussed :
  • different ways of addressing and fulfilling Personalised Learning Plans (PLP's), viewed a couple of different templates (Karabar DEC and Dubbo SODE) and discussed how these were integrated in students learning
  • ensuring that Aboriginal perspectives are addressed in all KLA's - template from Karabar DEC presented
  • developed a list of what people in the network wanted to achieve/need
  • discussed having a network conference in term 4
  • funding proposal.

It was agreed that our network would perhaps have different needs from the other networks since most of them are KLA based. It is important that this network have representatives from all DEC's, secondary and primary, as it is based on a target prioity of the government.
Over the next couple of weeks I will post information about the conference and ideas so your feedback would be great.
At this stage it will be either in week1 or week 9 of term 4 based in Canberra. At the Symposium it was decided that two days, one night would be enough, but maybe we could do it for three days and two nights. I'll keep you posted! Remember, if you want to contact me phone 62105230. Anne.
